Minnesota CPA CPE Requirements

License Renewal: December 31^st on an annual basis

Reporting Period: July 1^st to June 30^th of the following year (triennial rolling)

CPE Documentation: CPE hour submission and license renewals can take place at The Minnesota Board of Accountancy.

 Credit Limitations:

• Instruction: Maximum credit for instructors is restricted from exceeding 50% of total hours.
• Published Materials: A maximum credit limit is 50% of total hours for published articles and books.
• Instructor lead: A minimum of 24 hours are required to be attained from attending instructor-led programs.
• Subject Area: Personal Development credits are accepted but cannot exceed 24 hours.

  Hour Requirements: 120 total hours, minimum of 20 hours per year; 8 hours in regulatory or behavioral ethics (Ethics requirement)
