A text variable is an item you insert in your document to personalize your communication. For example: If you want to address the event participant by first name use {[recipient_first]}. In Prolaera, you may use these text variables when customizing your emails. Follow the below steps to build a more personal email:
Step 1
From your left panel, click on Settings > Email Settings.
Step 2
Select an email template to customize. For the example below, we are using the Event Registration template. Once a template is selected, you will see instructions on using text variables at the top.
For an introduction on how to view, edit, and publish email templates, please visit how to Customize Your Email Templates.
Please note: Text variables set here will only appear in email communications if these default email templates are used. Further customized templates on the event level, for example, with information pertaining to a specific event, will overwrite any prepared default email templates.
Step 3
You may send customized email communication using these text variables in any of your activated email templates. Please see below for examples sent to Gmail and Outlook accounts.
Sample Emails:
Event Invitation
User Has Been Assigned an Activity
Event Certificate
Event Waitlist
Registration Update
Event-specific communication
You may further customize email templates within each of your events to send specific information to your attendees. Just remember, this will overwrite any email templates that have been prepared in your company's Email Settings.
